Suppliers Struggling in Demand of iPhone 4
by Wong Pak Ying

iPhone 4 remains limited in Malaysia five weeks after its launch. A number of telecommunication companies announced that new stocks are to arrive “over the coming days”, but there were still lack of updates regarding the concurrent issue.

Even though Apple’s iPhone 4 smart phones had encountered various problems such as the doubt of its functionality of the antenna and the lack-of- resistance material, this still fail to influence the consumers’ desire to own an iPhone 4.

“The consumers are not going to look at the technical capabilities but they look at whether the device suites their needs, has the right plan and affordability.”

said Head of Marketing DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd.

Consumers are likely to lose hope of having iPhone 4 on their hands, for now it seems. Majority of the gadget goers prefer to sign one down from telecommunication companies, as it comes with the convenience of data plan subscription. Some may assume that Machintos will save some stocks, which unfortunately, may not have their calls answered. Representatives from Machintos voiced that they supplied most of the stocks to telecommunication companies, which explains why iPhone 4 is not easily gained from the officials.

Speaking of data plans, those interested could get an iPhone 4 from respective telecommunication companies much cheaper than the original price, which explains partially on the out of stock situation. Hundreds of buyers queued for hours to get their hands on the newly launched iPhone 4 when it was up for grabs five weeks ago. Until today, there are still many people who heading to the telecommunication companies hoping to get an iPhone. They can only prolong the wait with a tad of hope, by leaving names on waiting lists.

The consumers have to stay tuned for the good news on Digi iPhone 4 or Maxis iPhone 4. In order to keep track and receive latest updates on iPhone Malaysia, they will have to register to the webpage prepared for this case.
